Product Overview
The Typhoon Keyboard comes
in eight languages to meet the international needs of large and small companies
that sell or manufacture product overseas.
English (US), Spanish, Latin
America, Canadian French, UK, French, German, Chinese.
The Japanese, Korean and Portuguese (Brazilian) keyboards only can be ordered
with a mouse pointing device,
The waterproof NEMA 4X sealed keyboard has rugged elastomer
keys. The Typhoon keyboard is idea for wash down, dusty, oily, or greasy environments.
Connectivity
The Typhoon keyboard can
be configured with a sealed PS\2 or sealed USB cable. The cable can interface to
INDUCOMP’s sealed products or interface to standard PS\2 or USB interface. Custom
cables are available upon request.
Rugged Construction
The rugged design includes
a tough elastomer keypad that is NEMA 4X rated. The sealed keyboard has passed
CTUVUS and CE certifications. The main enclosure is made of
tough ABS plastic. Inserted brass inserts on the underside of the keyboard support
a 75x75 mm Vesa mount. Other brass inserts are available for legacy keyboards.
Large Keys
Most industrial keyboards
have small numeric keys. The Typhoon rugged sealed industrial keyboard has large
keypad keys. Since much of industrial work depends on keying numeric data, the large
keys make the job easier with working in gloved or mobile applications.
Bright Back Lit LEDs
The bright red LED backlit
keys illuminate the keys in low light or dark environments. The Typhoon keyboard
has a 5 level adjustment key. The 5 key adjustments give the user the ability to
adjust the brightness to suite the environment without overpowering with light.
Special User Lockout Feature
A Special User lockout feature
can be used to lockout the keyboard with a password to prevent unauthorized users
to access the computer while being unattended. Applications might include Police,
Fire, Ambulance, or Medical. These type of applications require the computer to
remain on while being unattended. The lockout feature provides the computer to be
secured even if the user needs to be logged on.
